The maximum temperature recorded on Monday was 22.3, which is considered normal at present. The maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 24.7, which was two degrees more than normal. Within just 24 hours, a drop of more than two degrees has been recorded in the maximum temperature. It is expected to remain cold for the next three days.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to snowfall in the mountains for the last several days, cold winds are coming in Delhi. On Monday, the speed of these winds coming from the north-west direction also increased. Due to this, chill is being felt continuously in the morning and evening. Despite bright sunshine during the day, the maximum temperature was not high on Monday. For the past several days, the maximum temperature of Delhi was around 24 to 25 degrees, which is higher than normal in the current season. Due to extreme cold in the morning, the minimum temperature remains low. On Monday, the minimum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 7.1, which is one degree less than normal.

According to the Meteorological Department, Mungeshpur was the coldest area of Delhi on Monday, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 19.8 degrees. In Palam also the maximum temperature recorded on Monday was only 20 degrees.

Pollution improves due to increase in wind speed

There is no possibility of increase in pollution in the capital in the next three days. Due to the wind coming from the north-west direction, there will be no increase in pollution at present. Wind speed has increased from Monday to Wednesday. Because of this, air pollution is expected to remain at the lower level of very poor category. It may also go into the upper part of the bad category for some time.

Pollution in Delhi has remained in very bad category for 12 days. According to experts, there is no possibility of any major relief from pollution at present.
